- There is little to tell us of the fate of Auguste Krämer during the 1933-1945 period. A newspaper article accompanying the laying of Stolpersteine for Isaak and Auguste in Nieder Weisel in December 2018 states that "Isaak genannt Leopold Krämer hat 71-jährig Deutschland 1938 in Richtung Frankreich verlassen. Seine Spur verliert sich 1942 in Frankreich. Auguste Krämer, geb. Schwarz, hat 66-jährig Butzbach 1938 verlassen. Ihre Spur verliert sich ebenfalls 1942 in Frankreich. - One record suggests that Auguste Krämer may have survived the war in Switzerland. Her name, "Auguste is included in a list of Jewish arrivals in Switzerland between 1938-1945 (Ancestry.com. - A further document, in the New York, U.S., Arriving Passenger and Crew Lists (including Castle Garden and Ellis Island), 1820-1957 provides further information about Auguste Kraemer, b. abt 1872 in Nieder-Weisel, a widow, last resident in Paris, arrived in New York City on 30 August 1946. She was in transit for Cali, Columbia where her daughter Mrs. [Eugene?] Kaufman lived.
