Birth record is in Czech Jewish Registers, Uherský Ostroh Births [N] 1830-1846, image #5/55. Mother's name is written as "Katti." Born Uherský Ostroh (Ungarisch Ostra) Haus #15, Moravia. Her father Jakob Reif owned the building, per the list of House-owners on the Plan of Ostroh reflecting the establishment of a Jewish Quarter in 1727. The Plan is from 1727; the list of names on it is from the early 1800s.

Marianna / Amalia's father died when she was less than six months old.
