"The oldest ancestor of the Taussigs lived in the village of Přestavlky near Chrudim. He was Samuel Taussig who married Katrina Schutzjede in 1786. They had four sons - Lazar (born 1788) + Bernard (born 1789) + Moisese (born 1790) + Salomon/Šalameun (born 1799). Samuel Taussig (born 1820) was the son of Bernard and Josef Taussig (born 1829) was the son of Salomon. So they [Samuel Taussig of Holetin and Josef Taussig of Krouna] were cousins. The information got for us a historian Mrs Langová from the State regional archives in Chrudim."
