The Atlantic Cemetery Association was organized in 1874. the first burial was believed to be in 1863. They built a mausoleum in 1909, but it was removed in 1968 and the bodies were buried in the cemetery.
The cemetery is located on the corner of the intersection of Whitney Street and White Pole Road (US 6 / US 71) in Atlantic, Cass County, Iowa.
