Connecting the Bavetta of the world!
We thought we would share a bit about our Bavetta relatives who came from Santa Margherita di Belice in Sicily.
Our great grandfather Andrea Bavetta immigrated to the United States in 1915 from Santa Margherita di Belice. His first wife was Liboria Giovenco who died in Santa Margherita in 1908. Their children, all born in Santa Margherita di Belice were Luciano (our grandfather), Giuseppe, Calogero, Caterina, Rosalia and Domenica. Andrea remarried after the death of Liboria to Grazio Puccio and had another son, Vicenzo. After the family immigrated to the United States in 1915, they had two more children, Grace Helen (Grazia Elena) and Bertha (Liboria).
I an attempt to find our lost ancestors in Sicily, we are attempting to find and chart all the Bavettas in the world.
