I am looking for any and all members of the Bottoni or Sergenti families from Torrice and/or the greater Frosinone area. Both of my fraternal grandparents were from the area. Having visited there and spoken to someone who is likely related, although I am still working on the link. I was told of a Bottoni family who left the area in the early 1900s, who the rest of the family believes, for America. The names she gave me were: Pasquiccia, Filomena, Maria, Rita, Concetta and Agostina, All Bottoni.
She was also looking for a Tomasso Rapino. These were 2 generations back, her great aunts/uncles.
In looking for my ancestral family records, which are much earlier (1850s) in the small town hall and stopping to speak to the local priest, it seems those are nowhere to be found. Disappointing, yes. Surprising? No. But if I'm able to link the current Bottonis to those who emigrated to the US, I'll feel as though I've gotten somewhere. Any leads will be greatly appreciated.
