Our Parish Cemetery is located at 80 Kings Highway North, Westport, CT. It was started by Christ Church Parish on September 15, 1852. Following the merger of Christ Church and The Memorial Church of the Holy Trinity, the Cemetery became the Cemetery of Christ & Holy Trinity Church. The Cemetery is laid out on a gently sloping hill that drifts away from historic King's Highway. It is a peaceful place, green and serene, remarkably removed from the hurly-burly of the town nearby. Some of the persons buried here were born in the eighteenth century; the headstone indicate that some of the old parishioners resting under the hill were born before the colonies declared their independence. Here you will find interred some of the earliest Westport families. Unfortunately, due to space restrictions, with rare exceptions, the cemetery is restricted to parishioners of Christ & Holy Trinity. Contact us to learn more about the CHT Cemetery.
The Memorial Garden on the Christ & Holy Trinity property is a sacred and beautiful space where the mortal remains of our loved ones are laid to rest. The garden is open for members and friends to enter at any time for prayer, mediation and quiet. It lies just north of the Chapel behind the Church (75 Church Lane, Westport, CT). Contact us if you would like to purchase a niche in our Christ & Holy Trinity Memorial Garden.
