Clark Cemetery resides in Castile, Wyoming County, New York, on a portion of what was once Jacob Clark 's old homestead. This long neglected cemetery is located in the northeastern part of the town of Castile. It is in this small clump of trees and shrubs beyond the end of Johnson Road. The road it was originally on is no longer there. It was apparently set aside as a neighborhood burial site by the Clark family in the early days of the settlement of Castile. The first recorded burial was in 1832. The final recorded burial is from 1908.
Castile is an incorporated town in Wyoming County, New York. The population was 2,873 at the 2000 census.[2] The town is named after the historical region of Castile in Spain. The Town of Castile is on the east border of the county. The town contains a village which is also named Castile. The Town of Castile was established in 1821 from part of the Town of Perry.
