This project is dedicated to the research and study of Kohanim family’s history in Western and Eastern Europe, former Russian Empire (today Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Baltic countries), Bessarabia/ Romania, Poland, Galicia ect.
Among Kohanim there were some different surnames as Rappoport/ Rapaport, Goldstein, Tzadok, Gurfinkel, Szper/ Szapira/ Shapiro, Rottenberg/ Rotenberg and many others.
The objective of this project is to reveal the details about their historical background, everyday life, professional and religious life and possible relationships between them.
