The history of the (De) Nysschen family, in South Africa, dates back to the marriage of Albertus Nysschen with Aletta Roesdorf, on 23 April 1826, at Swellendam. Albertus was apparently from Holland and no further information on his arrival in the Cape has sofar been found. .
