Discovering beyond my grandparents: The Kureks and Zawilas of Zembrzyce Poland

Project Tags

With the loss of my mother in 2018, I have taken a newfound interest in pinning down genalogical information pertaining to both sides of my mother's family: the Kureks and Zawilas of Zembrzyce Poland. I will eneavour to update my family tree as I can and am grateful for any leads or records that you might be able to share that assist my journey.

I am new to this website and am learning the extent of it's capabilities. My knowledge of the Polish language is very limited but I use DEEPL translation software, which seems to do a fairly good job of matching tone and vocabulary.

I deeply believe that our ancestral connection is more relevant to our daily lives and health than we realize. I yearn to better understand myself through the discovery of the lives, personalities and complexities that make up our family story. I dearly hope to leave no rock left unturned in my search to fully understand who I am by way of who came before me.

Are we related somehow? Or perhaps you/your family are aware of stories involving the relatives who have passed before me? Everything is relevant. Please don't hesitate to reach out.

Most sincerely,
Jennifer Piercey (Delaney)

- daughter of Eleanore Helen Delaney (Zawila), grand-daughter of Kazimiera Anna Zawila (Kurek) and Stephen Michael Zawila of Zembrzyce Poland
