Ellis Island Irish arrivals
On the 2e January 1892 the new emigration building Ellis Island opened its doors to emigrants from all over the globe.
The first person to arrive was an Irish girl called Annie Moore' many Irish emigrants followed in Annie's footsteps.
Aim of this project
This project aims to create a collection of profiles of the Irish emigrants who arrived at Ellis Island and build their family-trees.
It is not known if some of the Irish emigrants remained in the United States, moved on or returned to Ireland.
This project is a sub-project of arrivals at Ellis Island. Please add only your Irish ancestors or other relatives who arrived at Ellis Island to this project.
How can you help?
If you expect that your Irish relative arrived at Ellis Island New York you can use the sources mentioned below and check if their name is listed, the records will tell their name the date of arrival and very often what the final destination was.
