• The Helsinki Institute of Music (Helsingin musiikkiopisto in Finnish, Helsingfors musikinstitut in Swedish), established in 1882 by Martin Wegelius, or in its successors, namely
• The Helsinki Conservatoire (Helsingin konservatorio in Finnish, Helsingfors konservatorium in Swedish; not to be mixed with since 1971 similarly-named institute!) in 1924–1939, and
• The Sibelius Academy (Sibelius-akatemia in Finnish, Sibelius-akademin in Swedish; since 2013 part of the University of the Arts Helsinki).
