Although Gravel Lawn Cemetery is north of Fortville (which is in Hancock County), the Gravel Lawn Cemetery is actually located in Madison County, Indiana.
The cemetery is located in Green Township (NE quadrant of the NE quadrant of Section 4 Township 17N Range 8E) on the northwest corner of the intersection of W County Road 1025 S and Indiana State Highway 13. The cemetery was established in 1915.
Indiana Cemetery Locations, Volume 1, published by the Indiana Genealogical Society (02 April 2005), gives the primary cemetery name as Gravelawn Cemetery with an alternate name of Gravel Lawn Cemetery.
