This project is the portal for Guadeloupe in the French Caribbean.
Guadeloupe is comprised of two major islands connected by a bridge over the Riviere Salee (Salt River). To the east lies Grande-Terre; to the west, Basse-Terre, the larger of the two islands, bearing the same name as Guadeloupe's capital. Three smaller dependencies complete the Guadeloupe archipelago. They are Marie-Glante, La Desirade, and Les Saintes--itself comprised of three tiny islands and a half-dozen even smaller cays.
