Les membres de la FIG se composent de 130 fédérations nationales. 127 d'entre elles sont affiliées et 3 sont associées (BURKINA FASO, MACAO, SWAZILAND). Une fédération associée n'a pas de droit de vote et sa voix n'est que consultative.

Les fédérations membres sont réparties en quatre unions continentales :
