Profiles

The Iona Cemetery was the interment for non Catholics from the Iona area. The burials were between 1885 and 1925 and one burial in 1971. There are twenty two marked graves and possible two or more unmarked graves. Many of the family names found on the stones were charter members of the Iona United Presbyterian Church.

There are three cemeteries in the same location, St. Columba, Trinity Zion Lutheran and Iona Cemetery. The Iona Cemetery is in between the two other cemeteries and can be found at the north east corner of St. Columba Cemetery and the north west corner of Trinity Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

No burial records have been found on this cemetery, only the stones. Information gathered on this forgotten cemetery was from the Murray County death records and newspapers.
