Balassagyarmat is located in County Nógrád, District Balassagyarmat and has its community.
Our distant cousin and friend [Private] is working feverishly on completing the genealogical Jewish tree of Balassagyarmat, Hungary. Anyone who has or had relatives who lived, worked, married or died there should help by adding the profiles of such people to this 'BALASSAGYARMAT PROJECT'. It is not enough for David's wishes to just have a Balssagyarmat Jewish tree. He would want to add stories to those people to humanise the tree and make this project the story and history of the Jews of Balassagyarmat. A part of this can be read as the Families Holló (Hirschberg) and Lázár
Thanks in advance to all those who will cooperate to enrich this project and our collective knowledge of one small corner of the Jewish world. Daniel Levy
