{{}}This project seeks to collect all of the Jewish families from Hanušovce nad Topľou (Giraltovce)*, Vranov nad Topľou District, Prešov Region, Slovakia (Slovensko) also known as Hanušovce, Czechoslovakia (Československo), from the end of WWI until 1927, Tapolyhanusfalva, Kingdom of Hungary (Magyar Királyság) from 1907 until the end of WWI and Hanusfalu, Kingdom of Hungary before 1907, Hansdorf an der Töpl (in German) and also simply Hanusfalva, especially in the late 19th and early 20th century. Tapoly- or Topľou refers to the Topla River, upon with the town sits, and is used to distinguish it from another Hanušovce in the western Prešov Region (formerly Szepes County in the Kingdom of Hungary), which is sometimes referred to as Spišské Hanušovce.
