John Waters was born in Tyrone East, Ireland in 1786 and died in Lanarkshire Scotland in 1850. His wife was Helena (her maiden name is unclear, some have Hudan, Haden, Hudson but neither can be confirmed). Their son, Ezekiel John Waters, wife Jane (nee Williamson) and two sons migrated to NSW Australia in 1838, first settling in the Hunter region (wine country) NSW, then moving on to Wyong/Yarramalong NSW Australia c1870's and the family became very prominent within the district, some even taking Government Office in local Erina Council. Tracing the family tree has proved difficult (from John Waters backward) as records from Ireland/Scotland/England have been unsuccessful.
