In Denton County, take BUS 377 (N Washington St) South from its junction with US 377 on the north side of town. Follow BUS 377 to N. Prairie (you will go past St. Thomas Cemetery). Turn Left unto N. Prairie and follow it 3/10ths mile. The entrance to the cemetery (on the left-hand side of the road) is across the street from 610 N Prairie.
Pilot Point Community Cemetery is divided into three major sections. The entrance road divides the Masonic portion from the !OOF portion. The third section, Yarbrough, is the blocks of graves along the eastern extreme of the cemetery grounds. Near the entrance is a small box that holds an index for the cemetery. There are maps of the layout of the cemetery. When you come into the main entrance the Masonic area is to your left, to your right and a bit ahead is the section with relocations. In this picture there is a black metal fenced off section on the new east portion of the cemetery. At the local public library you can find a copy of the most recent burial audit.

Burial Audit
The history of the Pilot Point Community Cemetery goes back to the 1850's.
It is located on North Prairie Street within the northeast city limits of
the city of Pilot Point, Denton County, Texas. The earliest recorded burial
is that of James McAdams, a two year old infant, who died in 1854. There
are three named sections to the cemetery; The I.O.O.F. section which was
established in the 1850's, the Masonic section established in 1875, and the
Yarbrough section established in 1920.
The cemetery has been cared for by several organizations over the years;
the I.O.O.F., the Knights of Honor, The Ladies Cemetery Association of Pilot
Point, Masonic Lodge #270, and currently by the Pilot Point Community
Cemetery Association, which was incorporated in 1990. An annual Homecoming
and Decoration Day is held every year on the first Sunday in May. The
