Ciao a tutta la famiglia! I am researching the connection between my family's surname, "Piva" and the Bassano family from the Bassano Del Grappa region in the mid 1500s. My grandfather, Orazio Piva was from Marostica, Italy. Both his father, Guiseppe Piva and grandfather, Pietro Piva lived and worked in the Bassano Del Grappa area from 1840-1890. Any information about Piva famlies prior to 1840 would be very welcome.
