I have a Thomas Ramey in my family that I cannot definitively connect to any family anywhere. After over 10 years looking for this man's family, I decided that I would go at this from a reverse approach. I am trying to begin by locating every Ramey that was in this country prior to the revolution and trace their descendants to see if I can connect him. I am also looking for Ramey's willing to participate in a DNA project to see if we can link my Tom Ramey to a family line that has traceable roots. All information is welcome. I am also interested in the less Anglicized spellings of the name such as Remy, Remey, Remi, and others since I have no information regarding his background I will not close any doors at this point in time. I have numerous Huguenot families in my history so I am open to the investigation of my Tom Ramey being a Huguenot descendent particularly of him being from the La Rochelle Remy family.
