Rifaat K. Dagher, MD, FACS Dear Brahim, I feel that Dad has never been properly memorialized. I think the obituary falls flat , the eulogy never came near and the funeral was more for Dr Brahim's friends, just the territory of living in such a great family. He was unique and well-loved by all the staffs, the administrators, his students, and all who worked with him. His effect on his family and the deep love he had for them changed him and molded him into a multi-dimensional person. A life well-lived. His contribution to medicine was very great. He was a natural healer and there stories of his bringing people back to life even in the daiyah. Did you know he also did pioneering work in the field of skin grafting and transplantation? He wrote many articles about Urology and has been published all over the world. He has even contributed articles about nursing procedures in urology, psychology, herbal medicines and the effects of corn oil and zinc in the diet. He was considered an holistic physician, taking into account the whole patient.
Maybe this is the place and certainly everyday in my prayers to declare before God and man how great Rifaat was, the power of his life and even the power of our marriage. It was.
