శ్రీ శిష్ట్లా వెంకట పూర్ణచంద్రశేఖర శాస్త్రి ( కనకవల్లి అగ్రహారము - తోట్లవల్లూరు మండలము - కృష్ణా జిల్లా) గారికి 1988 సంవత్సరములో శిష్ట్లా వారి వంశ వృక్షము తయారు చేయాలని సంకల్పము వచ్చినది. వారు ఊరు ఊరు తిరిగి వివరాలు అందినంతవరకు సేకరించి పుస్తకరూపములో ముద్రణ చేయించటమైనది. ఆపుస్తకమును వారు యజుశ్శాఖాధ్యాయీ వాశిష్ట మైత్రావరుణ కౌండిన్యస త్రయార్షేయ ప్రవరాన్విత, కౌండిన్యస గోత్రోద్భువులైన కీ.శే.యలకూచి విశ్వేశ్వర సోమయాజులు గారి నుంచి మొదలు పెట్టారు. యలకూచి విశ్వేశ్వర సోమయాజులు - సర్వేశ్వర సోమయాజులు - శంభు సోమయాజులు - వల్లభ శిష్టు( వీరు చతుర్వేద పారంగతులు). వీరికి క్రీ.శ.1340 లో అనవేమా రెడ్డి (గురజాల) గారు మంచాళ్ళ అగ్రహారమును అష్టభోగ యుతముగా ధారా దత్తముమొనర్చిరి. శిష్టు/శిష్టా అనే పదములు శిష్టు- శిష్టుల - శిష్టల - శిష్ట్లా అయునటుల చెప్పబడినది. అష్టభోగములు: పౌరోహిత్యము,యాజకత్వము, ప్రభుత్వము,జ్యోతిస్సారము, హేమముద్రా పరీక్షా, సాముద్రికము, లేఖకము, యాజమాన్యము.

Late Sri. Sishtla Venkata Purna Chandrasekhara Sastry garu (Agraharam, Kanakavalli) has put in lot of effort into documenting 'The Sishtla Family Tree (Vamsa Vruksham)' in the year 1997. It was published in limited editions which are available with some of the Sishtlas, who have contributed for the project to be published.Since, websites like Geni are now available which have better reach, I have undertaken a project of putting the entire Vamsa Vruksham compiled by Sri. Sastry garu in electronic format on Geni.Now, this mail to you is aimed at inclusion of all other Sishtla family trees present on Geni into one wholesome one and also active participation.You may develop this tree further with the names of 'Male Children' into any number of generations, and you may please end the tree where there is a Female Child with a mention of her name(Husband Surname) and no further extension into further generations.
