  • Despina "Despo" SOPHIANOPOLOUS (ZEPHER) ZAFEIROPOULOS AHEIMASTOS (deceased)
I have a feeling that there was a Uncle of my Father's (Papaphilippos) whose children were Despo, Maria and Christos. Unfortunately, I don't know who was his sibbling - my Father's mother or my Father'...
  • Maria SOPHIANOPOULOS (ZEPHER) ZAFEIROPOULOS (deceased)
See the about me section for Maria and Christos for more information. Maria was a nice woman, married with children. She seemed stable and family oriented but other than that I can't remember much.
  • Philip Gus Sofos (1926 - 1989)
Philip had two children April Rose, and Richard Gus. This information is from Rick Salameri "uncontrolled anger may be a Sofos trait because I hear Pete's brother was a bit violent but not nearly as vi...
  • Philip P. Sofos (1887 - 1955)
I know almost nothing about Philip. He lived briefly in SF with his wife Mary according to census information. Then he moved his family to the other side of the US - couldn't get any further away than ...

From Divri, Greece my Father and his brothers emigrated to the USA. Andrew, Kosta, Alex, William and Philip all settled in SF with Kosta moving eventually to San Mateo, CA and Philip moving to New Iberia, Louisiana. I have little information about the Sofos family that stayed in Greece other than I had four first cousins who lived in Greece - Vassili, a lawyer in Athens who died childless, He was my first cousin but I don't know his last name or the connection to my Father. Then there were Christos, Maria and Despo. I am not sure if Christos, Despo and Maria's maiden name was Zepher. There seems to be another brother or sister that I am not aware of. There was a priest who had children as well. Hopeless!
