According to Aado Must at http://www.history.ee/ono/, only one Estonian man was given the family name Tölpius in Estonia in the 1830s. After the first written record, this name has always been written as Tölpus. Anyone with the family name Tölpus is descended from Seppa Jürri Jani Jakob Tölpus. Let's find them all!
His brother took the name Söber, later Sõber. From memory, I think there were four Söber forefathers in Estonia at this time, in the 1830s. If you have a Sõber line, there's a one in four chance that you are a relative too.
