We started this in a low key supplying used clothes to needy people there .The response was very encouraging .They said that even torn clothes can be utilised for covering the backs of the Gangireddus with which some people have their living there . Syam donated some money to Gautami Eye Institute at Rajahmundry with a promise from them that they take special interest of our villagers by conducting eye camps there .First eye camp was conducted on 31st July .Myself Akkayya , Vijayabharathi from here and Suri Babus and his brother's in law, Meenakshi and others attended this .It was a big success and as many as 200 patients got themselves checked and 30 persons were taken to Rjy for cataract operations..All the operations were successful and they are all very happy and thanked us profusely which made us think of doing something more . Our villagers were given ID cards and they were promised to get good treatment when ever they go to Gautami Eye Institute.We started a primary health center at our premises (in the name of Rama and Syam)with a view to take care of the immediate health needs of the people .Though our place can be used we have to persuade the Health center people to come here and treat the patients .For this we have to collect donations and put some amount in the bank in fixed Deposit so that the interest proceeds can be utilised for the running expenditure .Suribabu is negotiating with regard to the actual expenditure that costs for this per month .At present my family Akkayya's family Suribabu's family joined this project Viswanathams and other kunapulis promised to support this .I invite support and suggestions from others who are connected and not connected to this project . Hope you all agree with me that if we concentrate our help on one village we can see the results and be happy and proud that we are useful to the needy in our own way .Hoping to hear from you soon , Papa (kameswari Kunapuli)
