Variations
The name Vigne means "vine" in French - pronounced VIN-YEH with neither syllable accented.
There are two of Vigne families listed in “SA Genealogies” vol 14, Genealogical Institute of SA, Stellenbosch, 2008” who were brothers. A third settler has been identified from Ireland. The trees have been added to GENi. We need to establish the order of the 3 SV/PROGS
The purpose of his project is to establish the trees and try to fit in some profiles as yet not linked to any main tree. It would be good to establish accurate trees for this family.
There are 3 sections to the project:
- Heads of families/tress as listed in SAG v14
- GENI Profiles not yet connected to a Vigne tree
- Sundry records/entries/documents found but not placed/linked/connected
