The Vinogray surname might be spelled very differently including Vinograi / Vinogray / Vinagray / Winograi / Winogruch / Winogrey and so on, but it relates to the same surname.
What I can tell today with a high level of confidence is that our families are well related and all of us have common ancestors with the family name Vinogray.
Moreover, all our ancestors stem from one village in Ukraine called Babchintsy. Today, Vinogray descendants live all over the world (in Ukraine, Russia, Estonia, Finland, France, the United States, Israel....) but all of them come from Babchintsy at some point! I found the earliest mention of Vinogray in Babchintsy in the 1840s. And by the end of the 19th century there were at least 4 branches of Vinogray family living in the village.
