About the Foster- Barham surname

I am the 2nd son of Clive Foster Barham who was born back in 1920 Switzerland and Helena born 1924 Cardiff ( nee Murphy) married 1952 My elder brother Jonathan was born in London in 1953 and my younger brother Quentin was like my self born in Nakuro Kenya in 1958 myself in 1957 at the time when Kenya was a British Coloney Thou we know of branches of our family who moved to New Zealand, Uruguay and Jamaica it is beleaved that we are the last male Foster Barhams . My family settled in Somerset U. K. back in 1968 near the town of Shepton Mallet where my father still lives. Having turned 96 back in November 2016. My father was the only son and youngest of four of Guy Foster Barham born Bridgewater Somerset 1873. Died 1944

Guy in turn was the youngest child of Alfred Foster Barham 1824-1901 One of Guy's brothers was Hugh Foster Barham born 1867 and it was this branch that moved to New Zealand.

Alfred's own father was Thomas Foster Barham 1794 - 1869 His father was also Thomas born 1766 died 1844 and his father was Joseph Foster Barham 1729 - 1789 it is from Joseph that our family name comes from Joseph settled in Jamaica round the 1740s in the West of the island and owned the mesopotamia sugar plantation

Our family name was Foster and that of Forester we descend from Sir Richard Forester born 1050 his 2 X great Grand son Was Sir John Forester 1176-1220 was knighted by Richard I of England and made First governor of Brambrough sir John was also one of the nobles who compelled king John to sign Maga Carta in 1215
