About the Goldberger surname

Moritz Mordechai Goldberger cam to the United States in 1942z. He left his family in Zomsc and fled the approaching Nazi army. He and his cousin successfully made it though and eventually ended up in an Italian displaced persons camp. Move to the U.S.1948. Married in Chicago 1948. Had one daughte, Gail Goldberger. Moved to DC and started workin as a tailor. Went to Israel to find a wife. Married to Gala Azjenspis. Changed name in 1960 to Martin Gold. Other family members Gala Gold (deceased 11/4/2014). Two daughters. Fay and Sheila.
