About the Korytowski surname

I have 2 possible explanations were the name Korytowski comes from.

1) Korytow could be a village in Russia where one of our ancestors lived. He (or she?) moved from Russia to Poland where the SKI was added, which, among others, means HE THAT CAME FROM

2) One of our ancestors was a high standing member of a court (kings court or Earls court etc). The SKI would have been an honorary title bestowed for exceptional services rendered (SKI could have been an indication of nobility)
