The Mosen name is Anglo Saxon. It is not a common name, I traced it in the U.K.back to 1624 to a village called Dowdeswell, surrounding villages in the Cotswolds, and at Bourton on the Water where my gg/grandfather Joseph his wife and two sons, left with his brother Mark Oliver wife and daughter for New Zealand in 1872. That makes all Mosens in N.Z. related. The remaining Siblings stayed in England. There was a small branch in Scotland and also the Birmingham Mosen's are related.
