About the Sibley surname

Our connection to the Sibley name is through Amanda Sibley Presley who is a direct ancestor (grandmother) of my mother, Mary Helen Presley McDonald. Amanda Sibley married Elias Fletcher Presley (Sr) and in 1869 gave birth to mother's Dad, E. F. Presley, Jr. Through online research I discovered Amanda's father was a local preacher in the Many, LA area; that Sibley research produces connections to a ship earlier than the Mayflower; and a modern Sibley has performed extensive genealogical research and published his results as they developed. In mid 1995, he had published three volumes and I was told to expect number four in the immediate future.

I am Donald G McDonald, Jr, DOB 2/1/1938. Our family has a presence on the Geni web site. The manager of the site is Kelli Jacobson
