About the Trujillo surname

Spanish: habitational name from the city so named in Cáceres province, called in Latin Turgalium, which is probably of Arabic origin. This place was the home of various conquistadors, hence its great frequency in the Americas.

....

Balázs Déri's opinion :

The city of Trujillo and the family from there may bear in its present form the name of Trókhilos from Argos,a relative of Gordys and Triptolemos, some of the offspring of whom may have settled in ancient times in Truk island of Micronésia as well and was from there exiled into Europe to found colonies all around as far as in Hispania and in the far North as well.

Perhaps even tsut'ujil ( tsu-trukhil ) tribe of kiches descended from him. Yucatan and Paraíba in any case just like Aquitania and Ibéria got the name of A-Wa-Ka-Tan-Na and of his son A'ayab-Pa-War-Ra.

Jews and christians read Yoktan and 'Ofir.
