Is it really free?

Yes! Our Geni Basic accounts are free. When you sign up, you are automatically enrolled as a Basic user. Basic accounts include unlimited profiles, Consistency Checker, photo and media uploads up to 1GB, resolving duplicate profiles, in-law and blood relationship paths, and access to projects.

Should I upgrade to Geni Pro?

For some users, a Basic account is enough. Others can benefit greatly from the tools offered with the Pro subscription in their journey to join the World Family Tree. Great idea to build a global family…

Great idea to build a global family tree. Building a tree with family members is great. I like that the tree is collaborative, if you see a person's profile where you can add more information or provide links to sources of information about them - just do it!

Great customer service, informative service

There were some discrepancies in our family tree that had been added years earlier. The Geni team helped me to set it straight and make our family whole again. I appreciated the fast customer service and the smart links to family members that made it easy to link my tree.

Bug was fixed very fast

I reported a bug, a button that didn't work as it should and get an answer after only 5 hours. They had identified the problem and had forwarded the issue to their engineers. After only one hour more, the problem was fixed! Really fast! Good work!
