If I understand the question correctly, you need to know if it is the father or mother they share -- so you can show each with the correct parents; if all parents not known, add a profile as "Unknown" or "2nd wife of ..." or whatever fits.

Half-siblings share one parent, not both -- so you just create them that way -- or if necessary, use the edit relationships tab to move one (or both) from one set of parents to correct set.

Thank you! That makes a lot of sense. I was looking for an indicator for half-sister or -brother but of course I should go up one level to the parents.

The following people are listed as half relatives they are not and they need to be removed. Geni has decided that if you are not a premium member there is no way they are going to help you. I have probable being trying to solve this problem for well over two years.

The following listings are relatives of Arthur Ross Geissmann 1940
@Nancy Elizabeth Blaw 1924 – 2010, not 2012 shown as half sister (real sister)

Private User - Geni has created a class of volunteers called Curators, who have extra abilities - and a "sticky" Public Discussion to ask them for help -- https://www.geni.com/discussions/172007 - post your requests there, and they will undoubtedly help --

however - please note: to get the "@" to work to create a link - you must pause before hitting the space bar and wait for the drop-down menu of choices, then choose from that.
The other way to create a link - which always works, as opposed to the "@" which seems a bit temperamental -- go to the profile, copy the numerical part - and enclose it between double brackets on each side "[[" and "]]" [do not put the quotation marks, do not leave space between inner bracket and the number]

John Stanley William Shaw
For each of them, click Edit Profile, then at the top of the Edit Screen click Relationships.
Then click Remove across from the incorrect parent set, leaving just the correct set.
Then click Save.

If there are actually two copies of one or more of your siblings, then you need to merge the duplicates, possibly before doing the above.
There are many ways to merge: https://help.geni.com/hc/en-us/articles/229705547-How-do-I-merge-du...
