This branch of the Starkeys is all over the map. Literally. We've got people with the same names who seem to be different people, being the mothers of half brothers with the same name. We've got people born in the USA who have children born in England. We've got one person born in New Jersey, died in Philadelphia, buried in North Carolina.

Clearly there have been mismerges, and connections made among Starkey families who actually aren't the same.

Locations are: Warwickshire, Ireland, New Jersey, Maine, New Hampshire, Philadelpia.

Oh, and Panama.

Hi anyone!
Sarah Poultney was supposed to have been born on Cocle Panama, but
married in Warwickshire. Born in 1696.She is my 6th Great Grandmother, but i've never been able to go back with her. Is John American too? I do know we have American Relatives, and i've meticulously searched and matched, but my 5 cousins have the same info !.
Hope some one can help. Thank you Anne

My cousin Ray illingworth Starkey, has Elizabeth Poultney, Born Cocle Panama too !

Private User I started undoing some merges. It still needs more done to it.

My Starkey ancestors lived in Cheshire, England and came to Massachusetts in the early colonial period. During the Revolution they lived in New Jersey and were British Loyalists. After the war their homes and farms were confiscated and in 1793 they were transported by a British troop ship to Newfoundland, Canada. Tough place to keep body and soul together. In the late 1980s they left Canada emigrated to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to work in the lumber industry. and then to Tacoma, Washington. My great grandfather Hiram Briggs Starkey had cedar shingle mills in Washington State.

Good luck on your hunt.
