High Sheriifs

The High Sheriffs of most counties are listed in the "Historic XXX" projects - see an example at https://www.geni.com/projects/Historical-Bedfordshire/13771 - These could quite easily be moved to separate projects - the lists are there (I think for all counties).

Excellent, that will save work, and be a nice cross reference, deepening county structures.

I found one high sheriff, a will where his brother is mentioned, and now I'm working through the names in the will. An embarrassment of riches from one fellow's mention!

Hi I thought it might be his dad as well. Was bit iffy as both names John Wingfield. There is no Rutland Sheriffs project you can use the link to start one if you all wish.
