Some time ago we detached Morgan Dee from Deicws Ddu ap Madog -- many web trees give Deicws Ddu as Morgan's' father, and even call Deicws Richard, but there's no evidence of that.
So we detached him.
I'd like now to visit the issue of whether or not we have evidence as to the wife of Morgan Dee.
We have Maud verch Howell as his wife, but as far as I can tell, this is only showing up in web trees. Her mother is on Geni as Margaret verch Tudur but I'm seeing no solid evidence at all as to that, either.
At this point, we're now getting speculation, in the About section for Maud, that her mother is Margred verch Tudur, which she is not.
And things are getting out of hand.
So. Does anyone have any actual solid evidence (NOT web trees) as to whom Morgan Dee married?
For reference, here is the only evidence I have seen for Morgan Dee:
It's from a book published in 1903, "BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCHES OF PROMINENT AND REPRESENTATIVE CITIZENS AND OF MANY OF THE EARLY SETTLED FAMILIES." and can be seen at http://www.ctgenweb.org/county/cowindham/records/biographies/com_bi...
and as you can see, the furthest back that the line goes is Morgan Dee, and there is no wife for him mentioned.
As far as I can tell, everything else -- his supposed father, his supposed wife -- has been added later by speculation.
If there is evidence I will be so happy! And we will put it in the sources!
but if not we need to detach this wife.
