Bertha Rowles husband died in 1924, there is a letter from his military folder attached https://www.geni.com/documents/view?doc_id=6000000138611402046

It also states the military number of that George Henry Rowles, he was about 28 and 1 month old when he enlisted in 1917. He may have two military numbers, still looking into that.

I think both George Henry ROWLES enlisted. One for 2 years and 8 months and the other for 4 years 5 months.

I will delete the profile note that I added about being two seperate George's now that you have set profiles because if they are seperated it wont be relevent. I added George one before I noticed a profile for George 2 but then they were different so I wasnt sure if I should change it because they were too different to merge.

I dont have permission to remove it anymore

Ohk , i wondered if in 1914 that he tried to enlist and not been able to proceed for whatever reason, then enlisted again later. I only really researched George 712

I have detached George Henry ROWLES 1871-1949 from Bertha, he married Margaret BROWN

Thankyou for sorting that out

No worries - all fixed.

FYI - putting notes on the overview for issues like this don't usually resolve the issue mainly due to no-one being notified about it. I have found that a discussion like this or a message to the profile managers seem to work better. My personal preference is the discussion because the notes stay with the profiles forever.

Thankyou for the hint, I will start a discussion if any other similar issues come up, I did not know how to merge at first either so there are a couple that I left notes that only need to merge but I am getting back to those now I am getting the hang of things, thankyou again.
