I know that William Lawrie of Reidcastell married Barbara Weir, eldest daughter of William Lawrie, tutor of Blackwood, who by marriage to Marriotte Weir, heiress of Blackwood, assumed the surname Weir.
Does anyone know if the two William Lawries were related, and if so, what that relationship was?
