I am trying to locate my grandmother Lyyli Maira Lappalainen DOB March 18, 1894 born in Tohmajarvi Finland DOD February 17, 1944, her father was Pekka Lappalainen. My information is from my mothers records. The record above is almost the same except the husband and children. I can't find any other information on Lyyli ... any chance there is a connection here ?

Lyylis son, Matti Armas Harri, was my mothers father.

I mean that I cant see the information about your mother and therefore cant tell if our Lyyli is the same.

The information is from my mothers notes & documents, also found her on a passenger list from Bristol England to Quebec Canada dated 1913 in Ancestry.com. . Lyyli is my grandmother. She married Atte Toive Lahteinen in Toronto Canada 11-17-1918. My mother Aili Maria Lahde was born in Toronto Canada 04-02-1919. They moved to the United States no date. Lyyli is buried in Detroit Michigan USA. I need to find a birth certificate for Lyyli.
I am new to doing genealogy so any help would be appreciated.

Do you have documentation for the marriage of Lyyli Maria Lappalainen & Mathias Emil Johansson Harri ? I have a hard copy of my Lyyli's marriage in Canada to Atte Toivo Lahteinen. I feel they are the same person. I will make my tree public so you can see her path.

Your Lyyli Maria Lappalainen and mine are not the same. I am sorry ive tried to disconnect Mathias Emil Harri from yours but failed.
