American Ancestors Magazine (NEHGS), 2018, Jeff Horton, Genetics & Genealogy: Recent Findings from the Horton Surname Project...some 140 years after first publication of Horton genealogy, genetic testing disproved the connection of Richard Horton (1727-1773) was not born to Caleb and is not in the Barnabas Horton line.

Within the last year it has been discovered that there is a Abraham Horton, Buck County, PA that shares YDNA with Richard Horton. The search is now on trying to find common male ancestor.
