A 1st cousin emailes me asking what our grandfather died of. He was Clarence Louis Modesitt, born 14, Oct. 1881 and died 10 Dec. 1921; of gangrene as we had always been told. Grandmother, Tressie delivered Golden 2 weeks after Grandpa died. Through my genealogy research, I have found more Modesitt that committed suicide, including my Aunt Dorothy Modesitt Palmer. Now I am wondering if there is a genetic predisposition to commit suicide. Has anyone else heard of Modesitt suicides?
