In this branch of the Cathey tree, I couldn't help but notice that William Cathey, Sr has 4 daughters all named "Sarah". Two of the four are married, to different men (one who died in NC, the other in West Virginia). The other two Sarahs are unmarried, and none of the dates match up precisely.
By the way, West Virginia (not Virginia) should probably be the death and burial locations for this profile and her spouse, since evidently both are buried in WV.

There is a pending merge on this profile.

At one time she was disconnected from one set of parents:
...And later somehow acquired the current ones, which are doubtful, imho. I may have missed it, but I haven't seen any proof that William Cathey and Rebeccah Holman are her real parents. In fact I haven't seen any proof at all for her parentage. And if her birth location is actually Virginia or SC (rather than NC, like all the other siblings), then I don't see how that is possible.
Would appreciate any help or advise I can get for sorting out this family. The sons look okay to me (no conflicts, anyway), and I merged the two Margarets, who is a proven daughter for this William Cathey. But the 4 Sarahs, 3 Anns (one married to "Mr. Allen"), and 2 Elizabeths (one married to William Mehaffey who also has a pending merge on his profile) -- with lots of variations in birth and death dates -- has me a little worried.

We have to be careful not to confuse this William Cathey with his cousin William who was also recognized by the DAR. The relevant DAR page for our discussion is here:

I would suggest, particularly in light of the fact that they already have another married daughter by the same name, disconnecting this profile, Sarah Greenfield (Cathy) Mullins, from her current parents (William and Rebecca). And then I would either reunite her with the pair linked above ("Archibald Cathey" and "Sarah Greenfield", which are no less proven than what she has now, as far as I know) -- or just leave it blank until we can find a good source for proof.
