According to the documentation given to me by his nephew, Daniel Isaac Alevy (in 1997), Saul Alevy passed away 27 Sep 1974 in Miami Beach, FL.

Daniel has since passed away as well, so we can not go back to him for confirmation and his data has been found to have errors. However, I've only found errors in his oldest ancestors where he has roughly estimated vitals. All immediate family data has been correct to date and I've been able to verify from other sources.

However, I have no secondary sources for Saul's death date. On the other hand, I have a burial location of Farmingdale, Nassau Co., New York, USA, also from Daniel.

Since he tended to visit grave sites, I'm inclined to think his data is correct rather than what is currently contained on this profile.

Does anyone else have any other sources?

Update. Found a reference to him on obituaries.com. Problem is that I don't know what they use for a source. Based on contents, I doubt it's veracity.

Indeed by FamilySearch there is a death record in Sep 1974. I think the 1988 date came from a profile managed by Vida Alevy ( Vida Meryl Alvy )

In the Florida, U.S., Death Index, 1877-1998, Death Date is listed as 27 Sep 1974. Death Place: Dade, Florida, United States

Is everyone agreed to correct death date/place?

Yes of course

Yes, I believe there is enough data to suggest changing the date of death.

Good Morning. I have no reason to think that the the Sept 27, 1974 Date is in error. I am not sure where the 1988 date came in, I do not recall changing the date...I visit Saul's grave yearly when I visit my parents who are buried in the same general area. I will be visiting again on August 8 --and can verify on that date -Shabbat Shalom Vida Alvy
