Name: Jones, George Eric William
Record Type: Births
Gender: Male
Father: Jones, William Henry
Mother: Jones, Minnie
Abode: Sydney
Date of birth: 26 Dec 1909
Registered: Campbell Town
Registration year: 1914
Record ID: NAME_INDEXES:1066239
Resource: RGD32/1/4 no 7357

NOTE: Outdated paperwork printed for records pertaining to the "1800s" had been used for this record with the 8s being overwritten with 9s to record records in the 1900s, resulting in both 1814 and 1914 in various transcriptions. The record itself clearly shows a birth of 1909 baptised and registered in 1914. This could not be the man that married Anne Kemp in 1842.

Records known to be the correct George Jones=

=21 Mar 1842 marriage to Anne Kemp was George Jones recorded as being aged 26 (est. birth 1816)

=03 Mar 1873 death George Jones Male aged 61, Sorell, Tasmania, Australia (est. birth 1812) Cert No. 438

Sorry just a little bit lost

I have added sources into George Jones and his profile looks to be correct.

Is there a correction that is needed?

I changed it back to George Jones born between 1812 and 1816 (it was George Eric William Jones born in Tasmania in 1809) when I added this to show why I had changed it and prevent it being changed back to George Eric William. It seemed confusing to add the record for George Eric William but it clearly shows 1900s on the entries. If George Jones was born in Tasmania in 1809, it wasn't this George Eric William Jones.

I left it at born between 1812 and 1816 because those are the dates on the two known records, and there is conflicting information for George.=
=George Jones, born 1812 in England, Convict.
=George Jones born 1809, Sorell District, Tasmania.
