I'm looking for my ancestor birth place. He was Andrea Brainovich son of Simon Brainovich and Ana Uvaelich. He came to Argentina on the ends of XIX century. My task is find the birth place of Andrea Brainovich and apply to Croatia citizen.

  • Tomas, your gggrandfather was born in Sinj in the period 1862-1866

you need to have a look through the books https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QSQ-G99X-KFX?i=193&wc=...

Hi Tomas Brainovich,

Tomas, I recieved what you sent me, there is no written what is name of his father, but take a look in project below where is a useful link a title "Arribo de Inmigrantes Acceda a consultar on-line la base de datos más completa sobre arribos de inmigrantes a la Argentina", find when a Andrea arrived in Argentina, and paralel look at FS, how Jadra told you. Also at Ellis Island archive online, if he maybe first came to USA, then later travel to Argentina. From which departure port Rijeka, Zadar, Dubrovnik, Trieste, etc or some other place in Europe such as Italy, France, Germany.

Maybe also have some records at ancestry.com. Andrea (cro. Andrija) is related to one branch of Brajnovic family, but when you find a name of his father, later will be easy to find other relations and connect at exist tree with other family members.

In meantime, I saw it, his profile already connected to the existing tree of Brajnovic family. But if you are looking for records, just take a look up on the mentioned sources (links).

Hope this direction will help to you.

Kind Regards.

Tomas, I forgot to say you, that you also need to ask, check and see in local citizen registry office in place San Miguel De Tucumán, where he lived and died, in death evidence and record, was written name of his parents, and exact date of his birth and name of birthplace (town).

Thanks Jadra and Ozren!
